History
Neotanker is a Netherlands-based company with a branch office in Istanbul. As of 01 January 2026, the company has been carrying out its activities under the Çeksan Group.
Our objective is to operate the vessels that are designed and built by our own shipyard, under our own management, with the highest standards of quality, environmental responsibility, and full compliance with international maritime regulations.
Our group of companies has its roots in Çeksan Shipyard, which was founded in 1960 by Mr. Habip Bayrak in Istanbul. The shipyard initially focused on the construction of wooden and steel vessels. In line with the evolving needs of the maritime industry, the company transitioned to full steel construction in 1979 and relocated to its current site in Tuzla Bay in 1986 in order to increase its production capacity.
Following extensive infrastructure modernization during the 1990s, Çeksan Shipyard continues its operations today under the management of the third-generation Bayrak family, delivering value to the global shipping industry with more than half a century of experience and expertise.
